Rinse - repeat.
Apr. 24th, 2007 11:32 amI feel so icky ... in my mind a voice is constantly telling me that I now have only two more treatments left but I feel as if I have just started with the whole thing. Getting the IV today (or any day after a resting time) is always the worst. I desperately try to keep my tea in but I think I will loose the battle.
Additionally, I think I'm coming down with a cold or something as all my limbs are aching. Ganbatte!! Need to finish this chapter and then I'll take a nap. Hopefully I will feel better later today.

Ah, this is from my work experience. :) In 2002 McLaren F1 team invited international group of journalists to their tests at Barcelona racing circuit. The hit of their program was the ride in a car with one of McLaren racing drivers. Not the F1 car of course, just Mercedes SLK, but specially tuned, very powerful, almost like F1.
I was in the car with Juan-Pablo Montoya.

The Columbian drove me only 3 laps, but it was quite enough for me, I confess! :) My vestibular system is not that strong, so already at the 3d lap I felt myself almost sick, like at the ship in a big storm!
But it was great experience anyway. On the main strait Montoya made almost 300 km/h! Also I can imagine now the F1 style of hard braking with it's huge g-forces - this is very impressive.

Date: 2007-04-25 09:22 pm (UTC)The strongest impression is F1 style braking. This is really something special! The car, which moves at a VERY high speed, suddenly just "stops" - and begins to turn into the corner... Oh, the g-forces are SO strong that you can't hold your hear straight and your stomach just jump somewhere! =( Not a very pleasant feeling, I have to say! these F1 drivers are great athletes to go on like that for 1,5 hours of the race.
