Sci-Fi Channel and Bonnie Hammer.

Why? Because among those two they have cancelled three of my favourite sci-fi shows.
Skiffy cancelled Farscape and now seems to have given the axe to SG-1 as well.
And Bonnie Hammer?
She was the woman who promised to renew S:AAB in 1996/7 on Fox and then moved on to greener pastures at the Sci-Fi Channel. And guess who still heads Skiffy? Yep, you guessed it, Bonnie *the axe* Hammer.

Never cross my paths, honey, or I'll bump a hole in your bonnie.

You know ... one of the main reasons I ever got onto the net and got hooked big time was one tiny little, early cancelled series called Space: Above And Beyond. When German television showed the first trailers of the sci-fi series I thought: "Oh no, not another clone and cross between Star Trek and Babylon5 ..."
Boy, was I wrong. )

... saw a trailer of Serenity last night for the first time on German TV ... it is slanted here as a brand-new scifi movie. No mention of Firefly or the early demise of the series (besides no one knows Firefly here asides of those geeks with internet connections - Firefly never hit German television).

So for those Whedon fans in Germany .. watch out for Serenity. From the looks of it some looked like Farscape (which was my complaint after the first three eps anyway - too Western-esque and trying hard to copy FS IMHO. - if you copy then copy well)

Oh I miss Farscape ... and I damn well miss S:AAB!!! Hate you Fox! Geesh I guess S:AAB was too early. Ppl were still all cuddled up in the Star Trek franchise and new raw sci-fi like S:AAB was too much for viewers. The Wongs invented something that came 5 years too early *sigh*
