August - autumn comes ...

scottishlassIt is supposed to be the season of high summer, of golden light and warm evenings ... what we got is cold days and even colder nights, I need to get my winter clothes out of storage and see what can be salvaged and what needs to get bought new ... sigh I need a good coat - still thinking of sewing one myself. But first I need to make two or three A-form skirts and get myself some nice socks or nylon pants ...
It is really a bummer to get out today to shop instead of in a month or two, but then again I can get out on my own without hubbiness or Chica for a change.
AND I need to get some decent shoes, nothing fits anymore. This sucks.

Date: 2006-08-28 09:45 am (UTC)I hope too, that we will have a wonderful Indian Summer, but I have this strange feeling that due to global warming we won't have definite seasons anymore. We didn't have even a real spring this year, so I fear, we will be having either summer or winter from now on, which is a pity as I love autumn.
