I so hate the bad guys of FAITH and strangely I'm fascinated by white-haired Eum Ja and uber-bad guy Ki Cheol. You love to hate them ... and why did Eum Ja bow to mute apothecary girl? I still have hopes he will be drawn to the good side LOL ... as good a side as a deadly pipe playing and wielding serial killer can get to. I so, so ship Eun Soo and Choi Young, it's sad really given the circumstances of their star crossed love and the political games they are embroiled in. Both have so much in common given their circumstances, both are only pebbles in a huge game of Go. I just hope it won't end too badly. Like Legend (and it tickles me that so many Legend actors are also part in this), even though Legend didn't grip me as much as this one.

Speaking of Go, I'm watching Arang & the Magistrate only for the awesomeness that is Lee Jun Ki. His character is not only smart, uber-cute, but it is so good to see him again on the TV screen after his two year military duty. Arang sometimes annoys me so much, I could bitch slap her 24/7. It started out alright, but somehow along the way there was no real character develoment for Arang (okay, she has been killed .. what three four times now and came back as either ghost and/or reborn) but please, a little development is all I ask for.

As for Japanese doramas ... waiting for Monday to arrive to watch the last ep of Rich Man Poor Woman. SUGOI!

I am so so so glad you are enjoying Faith. I don't remember the last time I adored a drama so!

Oh absolutely, last time I watched a Korean historical series (Legend) I gave up on it half way through and only watched the final two eps for closure's sake.
But FAITH? WOAH MOMMA!! Even if I weren't as invested in Eun Soo and Choi Young as I am, I would watch it, it is that good. Besides, it is good to see Lee Min Ho really 'acting' in this one.

With all my squeeing and ahhing about this series on Facebook I even converted an old friend who never watched Korean and Japanese doramas before.

I really like this drama too and I might find other similiar Kdramas. I think this is my first historical/fantasy korean drama.

I like the chemistry between the two leads, but I'm afraid their lovestory won't have a happy ending... >.

If it doesn't end happily I will live in denial!!! :) These two are so perfect for each other, it would be a shame if Choi Young cannot be reborn in Eun-Soo's world or can time travel back to her after he has lived his life out in his own time-line. Or perhaps it will all tur out differently as Eun-So is probably Hwata and she will travel a second time even further back in time (or will teach Jang her surgical skills and he travels back)... I really do not know.

It all depends on what you like, I usually am more for the Japanese doramas, straightfoward love stories or detective stories.
Rich Man Poor woman (Jdrama) is quite good, last ep is airing next week.
ATARU with Nakai was good.

As for Kdrama:
(modern)
City Hinter (with Lee Min Ho) was very good, will have to re-watch it again, it's a revenge drama but really good.
A Gentleman's Dignity was funny, touching and real.

I also liked Rooftop Prince (time travel again, but not as cute/interesting as Faith. And it has the 'other' Lee Min Ho in it.

(historical/fantasy)
Arang & the Magistrate, the idea of a ghost seeking revenge on her murder and a human who can see and hear ghosts helping her is really interesting.

Best try Drama wiki: Season Winter 2012 (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Japanese_Drama_Season_-_Winter_2012), Summer/Autumn (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Japanese_Drama_Season_-_Summer_2012) and spring 2012 (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Japanese_Drama_Season_-_Spring_2012).

Jin from last year was also good, the Japanese 'original' to Faith

Actually Faith is not based on Jin. Korea did remake Jin as Dr Jin with Song Seung Heon and it was pretty appalling.
