- inspired by a couple of conversations with hard core vegans

Question: If the world population turns vegan all of a sudden, what happens to all the animals? And I mean those we eat and use for leather, wool etc. Cows, pigs, chickens ... will they all die out?Especially as most meadows will be turned into fields because .. well the ppl have to be fed. These animals would be our food competitors. According to PETA breed specific lifestyle for animals is a MUST, so if it is not breed specific it has to go. I do have my problems with PETA, they are always so easily ready to euthanize animals if there is no place for them. They are just a tad too fanatical IMHO. And I do not want to imagine a world where veganism is the new world order and little by little the very animals they all so readily wanted to spare quietly get extinct. Because a) they are not needed anymore, b) keeping them wouldn't be breed specific and natural and c) farting cows are responsible for climate change.

I agree. Man was designed as a carnivorous creature, among other things. Imposing veganism on all of us would be a slap in the face of nature.

I agree, on the other hand we have to re-think the way we treat our food. I try to buy only from companies that have certified proof that their livestock is not abused and has sufficient time and space to thrive before ending up on our tables.
This had led me to not cook cheap mass produced meat every day but 2 times a week good biological meat (and dairy etc.).
