Am busy with getting the garden and courtyard into shape. The first herbs and vegetables have been sown and I hope that they will grow beautifully.

Our life definitely has changed from the slower winter rhythm to the more busy and exciting spring/summer rhythm. When the sun is shining, all windows and doors from the house are open and the dogs can run around freely.
Spring is definitely in the air :)

Went to the doctor today, my blood results came in and they are all okay, no diabetes, no liver or kidney insufficiencies, no high cholesterol. Only thing that needs to be fixed is my high blood pressure. I am on medication now, hopefully it'll work.

On the weekend a middle-aged couple came to visit us for Lir. He will have a wonderful home with a little dog girl who has fallen into depression because her big companion died two months ago of old age. Minki was totally off her socks when she met Lir and I think he will make a good bigger doggie brother for her. Sammy will stay with us, so all our foster dogs have found a forever home.

I've been on blood pressure medication for about a year now, and they have certainly helped once we found the right dosage.

We are still mostly in Winter mode, but I've been thinking of planting some herbs & flowers on my balcony once it gets a bit warmer.

Did you have any side effects? Before I took the pills I didn't have any dizziness or head aches (the signs that you have high blood pressure). Now WITH the medication I do. It's so strange :s

Till the weekend we also were in winter mode, but since the end of last week, the sun is shining much stronger from the most amazing blue skies. If you work in the shadows, it is still quite cold, but playing in the sun is fun :)

I didn't have any side effects, though there was a warning that you might get dizzy etc. in the first couple of weeks after starting the medication. If the dizziness & headaches persist after that, I'd talk with the doctor about possible alternatives.

People are so different. One person might be okay with some medicine while another one gets bad side effects from it. That's why there are usually alternatives available.

We have had some beautiful sunnu days, but there is still too much snow on the ground for it to feel like proper Spring. It's melting fast, though. :)

I love how the seasons have such a direct effect for you. And it's nice to hear that all is well with the dogs. I hope there will be pictures soon.

I never thought that I would get so dependent on the seasons but with the seedlings getting started and the first early spring vegetables shoving their leaves through the ground, it's amazing how I can make the connection between certain things and the weather. Even weeding is much more fun when done in the sun, though remind me I said that when we are straight into summer and I'm about to get a flame thrower to get rid of all the weeds LOL.

Having your own garden, esp.. when you grow your own food, you get much more appreciative of food in general and life in particular. How precious and time consuming it is to grow just one single bit of food ... We try to waste as little as possible because we know how much time and work went into every single piece of courgette, or squash or even just one single raspberry.
I never thought I would be a food fetishist lol

ooh, hurray for Lir finding a home, and for your blood work being OK, that's great news! Also sounds like you're having a fantastic time with the change in seasons, gardening, etc. (I wish I could get my tomato plant to produce, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, ghrr...)
