FUCKING STUPID TELECOM
Jun. 13th, 2005 12:25 pmI have been offline since Friday 6AM as we could dial into the remote port and the conenction went asynchruous.
Of course I phoned them, told them of the problem in a coherent manner and what did those dickheads DO?
Asked me if I had switched on my computer and my modem ... WTF???
For the whole Friday I tried to make them understand that I'm not some dumb blonde user but a computer geek who KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING AND I CAN EASILY DEFINE WHETHER OR NOT MY FUCKING COMPUTER IS ON OR OFF!!!
Jeesh .. they told me it was my problem and that my modem is probably toast, so I went out to get a new one on Saturday morning (€90) and got that on ... got that, switched that, got the t-shirt as it was the frelling same problem AGAIN. But now the technicians had their weekend off and couldn't help me anymore. RATBASTARDS!!!!
So now they have switched remote ports (it was their problem all along) and hopefully we will stay online now. Because of the Telecom incompetence I lost € 1200 - thank you very frelling much.... NOT!!!

elfnut was here over the weekend and we had a fabulous if internet-free time. :) Thank you chica for coming up to meet me :)

Date: 2005-06-13 12:16 pm (UTC)In fact, my washer and dryer have the same sort of thing printed on the insides of the doors. Washer doesn't work. Open it up. The first question at the top? Is the washing machine plugged in?
Still, some of those support people can be prats. But think about it. If you had to sit around all day long and answer questions, you might be a bit snotty too. I think that 95% of the people that they talk to are most likely clueless about what's going on. The other five percent have an actual serious problem or they'd have been able to fix it themselves.
