It's official .. I'm my mom

scottishlassYesterday while shopping I picked up a packet of instant milk coffee thingamagig because Yuriko, my tandem partner for Japanese, drinks it. Last night, while I was sewing I suddenly wanted to drink milk coffee and instead of brewing a cup or two, I used the instant thing and ... OMG ... I have become my mom!!! For as long as I can remember, my mater is drinking those instant cups of whatever there is. I mean I have mocked her!!! I have made fun of it ... and now with 40, I'm finally just like my mater. *hangs head*
This has been the week from hell all in all. Last Saturday, while being out and about with the dogs, Cenour took a tumble (more of a somersault really) and landed on his already lame foot. I nursed him during the weekend with massages and warm water treatments, but all seemed fine and he used his foreleg as usual. THough to make sure everything was A-Okay, we went to the vet on Monday immediately but there were no broken bones, stressed tendons, NADA.
However, since Wednesday he is limping and not using his right front leg. We went to the vet again and now he is on pain medication, but no reason was found what is really wrong. He was x-rayed again, everything seems fine. BUT! He had a thorn right above his anus and that is now swollen and infected. I really, really am insane with worry about my little Mr. Stupido. But heis eating properly, gets the infection washed and flushed and rinsed with a suringe and hopefully it will all be over soon. If it is not one thing, it's something else and 2008 already held enough of puppy worries for me, thank you very much. For the next two days I have to give him his pain medication myself, so that will be a challenge - Cenour doesn't have a super treat apart from cheese and he always, I mean ALWAYS !!!, knows when I have put something in there for he artfully eats around whatever is hidden in his piece of cheese and spits it out. *head on desk*
Can I go hide in bed now?
