YAY! Emer will be in D-Town on the 23rd - so this coming Saturday I will be drooling over every KoH billboard coming our way with Emer in tow :) Hmm... should I show her a pic or two of Hrthik Rohan (and another one)? *evil cackle in the background*

Talked to Ava tonight and it was as if we had never this awful row and parted ways as best friends. I guess time brings wisdom in some ways, definitely in the way of this acquaintance (I'm not saying friendship yet). Will meet on Saturday, 30th and we will see how it goes :)

Funny that you should mention having a row with your best friend and parting ways and now starting to talk again. My situation is quite the opposite to what yours is now. I just recently parted ways with my best friend of 11+ years. It was pretty painful but I'm trying to get over t still.

Anyway, I'm glad that you worked things out with yours and are starting to get reacquainted again.

Ceru don't worry, the unibrow is still there, the pic is just really really light, the photographer cranked up the lights really really badly. She almost doesn't look like herself.

oh *phew* yeah, she doesn't look like herself. and i gave emer a list of hindi movies to definitely watch a long time ago. but i'm sure you're better at it than me, this bollywood education. ;-)
i may be way off.. but do you know this french actress named marion cotillard? now that i see kajol's face [after a long time] and having recently seen a french movie with the latter, i think they look a bit similar. dunno why.
i have yet to see swades. last hindi movie i saw was veer zaara, which was beautifully shot and pretty well written if idealistic and unrealistic. also it had preity zinta and rani mukherji, two of my favorites [and you will be happy to know, higher than aishwariya rai]

I know what you mean with Marion Cottlion, though it depends on how she is made up and what kind of hair colour she has. I only saw hwe in Jeux D'Enfant and Taxi.

Emer is still without TV and DVD Player so it will take a while till she gets around watching the movies you recommended. I only know 1970's dishum-dishum masala movies as well as not all SRK/Kaj movies. I'm not a real authority on it :)
Watched Main Hoon Na this morning while Olly was in bed and I could use the big screen :) I loved the bits and pieces with SRK as the tough soldier. He *can* do action and as a dancer; he is fit enough to do the stunts. Loved the stand off between SRK and Suniel Shetty on that scaffolding adn the whole Matrix/Mission Impossible spoofs.

I love Swades. It is not the usual BW movie, more like something the Europeans would do, so I guess it is closer to my own culture than the Indian culture. But the photography as well as the music just fits. And SRK is playing the Alien in India with the right kind of arrogance and humbleness.
I have Veer-Zaara sitting on my desk ... I am still debating whether to watch it or not. I'm glad you like Rani more than Aish. I still have my probs with Preity. I was actually rooting from the start of KHNH that she gets together with Saif and not SRK's character.
Aish is IMHO very overrated. So yeah she was Miss World, so yeah she looks pretty, but she was pretty annoying in Devdas that I actually switched off a SRK movie. Couldn't continue watching it and never have.
