Sooooooooo ... the Frell Me Dead Board is preparing a campaign. Are you frelled enough to participate?

And of course, I cried like a wee babe at the end of ROTK. *sigh* ... you know this is really embarrassing, but no matter what I do - reading the book, watching the movies - I cry at the end. Mr. Tolkien really did a good job with the trilogy.

Thank you for admitting the crying! I watch ROTK on Eastermonday and had to submit to Hubby's snearing remarks about my running nose and quiet sniffing at the end - all sure signs for him that I was crying like a running tap. lol!!!
I actually start right at the moment when Aragorn is crowned king and it gets really worse when he bows for the Hobbits - there is no stopping then.

And I agree, Tolkien did a great job, but so did Peter Jackson, this trilogiy is a masterpiece in itself!!!!!

For me it si from the moment, Legolas smiles beningly and steps back to reveal Arwen... then the floodgates open. With the book it is shortly after they have destroyed the ring, I just KNOW it is ending, and start reading the pages very slowly each.

Pathetic isn't it :)

Isn't it strange - when I start a book I can't get enough of it and read to reach the end - when I notice that I am nearly finished I wish for it to go on and go on. Like in the "Unendliche Geschichte".
That's why I so often read a book twice - because the second time I can really enjoy it.
