FINALLY

It was late and he did not know if she was at home or not. For months they had not seen each other, had only talked shortly on the phone, exchanged a few words of love, distraction more the rule than the exception. He felt the tension building inside of him, what if she was not alone? What if she had left him? If she had found someone else, someone who would share her life on a regular basis? For the first time since he had decided to become an actor he was afraid of what this decision meant for his life.
A noise to his right made him look up and there she was, his beloved. Watching him out of steady green eyes as a soft smile curved her lush lips.

"Orlando, you are home," she whispered softly and opened her arms.
"Yes, my love," he whispered back as his arms surrounded her, and the tension left his body. He was home ... finally.
