The Extended version blew my mind away, even though there are several things that as a Tolkien purist I was not happy about, atleast Peter Jackson did an hell of a job overall.
It is just said that this year will be the last of any LOTR frenzy. No more premieres to look out for, no more special edition waiting, no more Oscar winning nights and keeping one's fingers crossed that LOTR will sweep the Academy.
BUT! The presentation of the movies is very good, AND unlike the Matrix trilogy a trilogy worth watching and with the Special Editions, New3 Line Cinema has made a very precious line that will keep even if you don't watch the movies continuously.

Date: 2004-12-14 03:48 am (UTC)I am still amazed, what an impact the trilogy has on people and especially on me. PJ could have done a few things differently - maybe - but in my opinion he has created a master-piece. The trilogy is my personal best ever movie.
Una - we should watch it together sometime - I would love that. Until soon
