It always amazes me that - despite how they lived in Spain, being street dogs or living appallingly in a perrera - these pups are absolute creatures of comfort. I guess they enjoy staying in the warmth and relaxing, as they know how dangerous the cold and rain can be if you are forced to live outside continuously.

Btw, I really like the orange kind of blanket in the second pic. Is that patchwork? I really love it. It reminds me to a couple of light blankets I got from my grandma and mom that were made of different clothes but without any geometrical order or anything. Those kind have different names here depending on the part of Spain you are, I think. They are so lovely!

That was the second patchworked quilt I ever did. It is called Sunshine quilt because of the yellow and orange tones of the fabric scraps. I had done it with my husband in mind, but Cenour loved the quilt and it ended up being his snuggle blanket and now it is Careto's, who saw it, took it off the sofa and snuggled up in it. I guess the orangey colour (or whatever the dogs see as orange) calms dogs. So far every dog loved the quilt and wanted to lie on it.
