My life of fail ...
Nov. 22nd, 2010 11:23 amBaking is a touch and go kind of deal for me ... I can cook almost any meal by tasting only but where baking is concerned I'm an absolute failure ... for real.
Exhibit A : Una using instant dough ... that dough is already done ... I only have to chuck it into the oven and pronto-ready!! Well, not so for me ... I had it in the oven for the prescribed time, took it out and it tastes astrocious .. it was supposed to be a chocolate tarte I wanted to make for my family's Christmas tea but this is yuck!!!
I can understand that when I bake with fresh ingredients something can go amiss .. like the dough not rising properly or milk running out or not having any butter but with instant dough?????
*sigh*
Iz fail.

Date: 2010-11-22 07:06 pm (UTC)If it is for a chocolate tarte, would it be something you could use a crushed cookie base for? So much easier and sure to taste lovely....I think it's just a matter of crushing some rather plain cookies and adding a bit of melted butter and pressing them into the pan.
