scottishlass: (Dogs Careto Cool Dude)
[personal profile] scottishlass
On Thursday we had a rare spell of sunshine in between all the rain and so His Hubbiness™ got out his camera, pretending to shoot the apples and stuff in the garden while I had a cuddle session with our dogs. Soon our cuddle love fest turned into a photo shoot LOL

Chandini outgrowing her short do and having lost one of her long black ear hairs due to her battles with Lulu

Lulu doing her ferocious Ewok impression - usually she looks just like Chewbacca LOL

Yay!

Careto being bored ...

I guess he accepted us as his new *parents*

What wonderful pictures. The light was perfect, and your husband has a wonderful eye. I couldn't resist grinning at Yay!, and it was lovely to see you, as well. But my favorite? Seeing Careto all snuggled up with you with love.

Yes, I agree! I can't believe how wonderfully Careto is improved since arriving in his new home. Must be something magical there :)

I sure hope so. This new house has a very peaceful sense of feeling. It is a little farm with all the animals living peacefully together. Careto is one smart dog, he is a hunter but tries to compensate with looking for mice instead of hunting the guinea pigs or the hens. Once he sees that we humans pet something, he accepts that this particular animal belongs to his pack and is off limits.
We found a hedgehog the other day and he was into hunting mode immediately. So I took some heavy duty mittens, picked up the hedgehog and Careto immediately calmed down. He even sat with me, snuffed at the hedgehog and then gave off a resigned sigh. He knew, once I pet something, he is not allowed to chase and/or eat it.

Yeah it is also my favourite photo. He looks so at home there and he loves to cuddle, he is a cuddle machine.
What amazes me about this dog that he so peacefully slid into our pack. it seems as if he never were anywhere else and never experienced anything bad.

Hubby is an avid photographer and he owns an extensive assortment of lenses and stuff. He started doing serious photography about 1 and a half years ago and loves it.

*glomps*

Those are wonderful pictures, and awww, Chandi's ear.

I miss Cenour. :( At the same time it warms my heart to see Opa Möhrchen so at home with you already.

I miss him too. I so wished he would at least see another summer. Last year he was so happy running around at the Rhine, swimming and just being happy.
But I really believe he sent us Careto. In so many ways this dog is like Cenour. So yeah, it is the same breed and a lot of characteristics are the same, but there is something in his eyes that remind me of Cenour. Careto is like Cenour without the autism.

Careto looks more skeptical than bored and completely adorable in his "snuggling with mom" pictures. What a sweet addition to your very photogenic family.
