I read this post last night and it's taken me this long to put bit to screen because I know how difficult this is for you. It doesn't seem fair that they burrow so deep in your heart and then leave in what seems like the blink of an eye. No matter how long they are with you, it's never long enough. All you can do is hang on to the memories and know that you did all that you could to make him safe and happy and well-loved. *hugs*

Thank you for your dear words. I'm glad Cenour inspired you to have dogs again. he was a great dog and very very special. Four years ago I wouldn't have thought he would turn out to be such a darling. He is still very much part of our hearts.
