Just saw the movie Ned Kelly and it was okay. Not your normal Western fare.
What I did notice though was a) Heath Ledger really played wooden; b) Naomi Watts looked like Nicole Kidman in some of the frames (all golden haired fair lady) and c) Orlando Bloom'sacting was okay. I mean okay as in no wiggly eyebrows (thank Goodness) and a good supporting role.
And Poor Jonathan Hardy was way too under used. As the Great Orlando he would have made such a good entrance. He is a wonderful actor with a wonderful voice, too bad they didn't elaborate his role more.. more is the pity :-(

The worst bit of acting in the whole story was the redhaired woman he seduced on the sofa. But then again, maybe she was supposed to be like that?
I enjoyed it. but I can also understand why it wasn't released in Europe.

But as I said, I thought the movie was okay. Much better than the Ned Kelly movie with Mick Jagger :)
