Strange how much in a Christmas mood I had been in the beginning of November and now ... same time a month later, I have been so out of that mood, I don't know what happened. I barely managed to decorate a few corners of our apartment last night. At least we now have Advent candles (on the second Advent Sunday no less) and a decorated and lighted bow in the window.

I need to get into the holiday mood ASAP. Yuletide is over far too soon.

Last call for Christmas cards!!! In order to arrive on time, I need email addies!!! :) Just comment and I sent you a private message :)

I was looking forward for this xmas but last week my lovely dog died and i'm definitely not in xmas mood but starting today i will decorate my apartment coz the people around me wants to celebrate and i need to be strong for my cat who is still alive. So think about the good things, people and animals you love and maybe your xmas mood will return. Gambarimashio!!

I'm so sorry. I think this is the worst that can happen if a beloved pet dies. How old was your dog? Your icon is love, is that him/her? I know how it feels to loose a dog, I went through this almost 2 years ago.
*hugs*

Yes, the icon is her. She was 11 years old, was healthy till last month when we found out she had kidneys failure and i gave her meds but when we went for the check up the condition had dropped and she stopped eating and became very weak and in 3 days of pain and vomiting blood she was gone and even though i knew she was ill i had hope and wasn't prepared for this and i still can't believe it.

I'm so sorry. :(
I think it is very normal to hope ... even if it is against all odds. Chica lived for 5 months after we got her cancer diagnosis. She was never ill, enjoyed her days as if nothing was wrong while we tried to live every day as if it was her last. Only on the day of her death she felt poorly. She went into emergency surgery due to a ruptured spleen (the tumors had caused the rupture) and later our vet looked at her lymh nodes and all (she had lymphotic cancer). Knowing that her lymph nodes looked okay and that she might have lived a lot longer if that shitty spleen hadn't ruptured was hard to swallow.

Now your pup doesn't feel any pain anymore and she went away knowing she was loved and had a good home. *hugs*

I know she doesn't feel pain any more but i still can't stop thinking that i could have helped her more if i knew about her condition before and I'm so mad that they don't do animal transplant here and i feel like i let her down even though i know it's not true. Btw your dogs are so cute, i love when your post their pics and the pic of the meme day 7 is uber cute!! :)
