Fun-packed weekend ...
Aug. 17th, 2009 11:52 amFirst off, my ankle still hurts but I can move around and isn't life beautiful with painkillers? :D
After my short trip to ER on Saturday morning, I prepared to spend the evening with two of my best friends. Usually the first Saturday of August belongs to us but due to certain circumstances, we moved it to the third Sturday this month. It didn't deter from the fun we had though.
We were at the River Rhine, drank, ate fruits and cheese, laughed and talked a lot. We did the maths and we know each other now for 34 years *gulp* we are really getting old LOL Good thing we still can pick up where we left when we meet again. It was the first time this year as we all now live in different cities and managing our lives and families leave us little to no time to get together. But it was good!! I love you N. and L.
Coming home from that evening His Hubbiness informed me that we had to be at the Horserace track on Sunday morning at 7 AM. There was a Dog Event day and we were supposed to man a stand there for animal care and shelters in foreign countries etc. It was an exhaustig but happy day. The two C'S slept almost all day and charmed the visitors in between. I saw a wonderful Labrador mix which instantly stole my heart. If we were allowed to keep three dogs here, he would have been mine the instance our eyes met. *sigh*
