Whitsun weekend ...

We had a sun-filled (I got sunburnt) doggy related weekend. We went to the River Rhine, picknicked and BBQed with family and friends on the different days and the dogs had lots of fun. Now that the surgeries are just a dark memory, I guess the spleen has been malfunctioning for a long time without us noticing, as Cenour is now turning into a whole new dog.

Even though he is still limping (and it won't get better, only worse) he has much more energy and RUNS!! Unfortunately, his eye-sight is fading but he gets Vitamin A to keep the grey star away for this time being. However, he is such a wonderful dog who gets more comfortable with himself and with other dogs and ppl, he even now BEGS for treats. And he begs anyone ... not only family and friends ... no ... he now walks up to complete strangers and looks them in the eye with that "Hi, I'm a totally starving dog" look. He even lets himself get cuddled and stuff. It seems he has come over his fear of ppl trying to hit him. He has turned into a grand Master of cuddling. And of course Chandini follows suit. She sees Cenour doing something and of course she has to do it too, and as she is so little she gets even more treats than Big C. *sigh*

While Cenour is more or less bored from the whole experience


Or tries to wipe his nose on the lens


And after all this running and posing, Cenour takes a nap in the warm sand


Who needs to travel far on holidays, when you have a perfectly wonderful sandy beach right in your hometown? :)

I love beaches. If only I had this kind of scenery in my town XD Your hometown is really beautiful Una, and I love that clear blue sky ^^

I love my home town ... Germany has a lot of flaws, but especially the Rhine area which is influenced by the Atlantic temperatures is a beautiful landscape ... lots of water obviously - the River Rhine - and lakes and wooded areas in flat fields. My hometown is also really green, lots of parks, big and small, old buildings, three smaller 18th century palaces, trees in almost every street ... My hometown ranked 5 in best living in the global ranking last year or the year before. :)

I used to go hiking during my college years and I've always loved the feelings and the views I saw from the top of the mountain. They all look so beautiful and peaceful, far away from the crowded and stressful downtown. Jakarta is too heavily polluted -.-
