Why Ji-hoo is a better bet for Jandi ...

- He is not on rebound anymore and LOVES her
- He loves her so much, he would be willing to give her up if she was happier with Jun Pyo (and not because jun Pyo is his BFF)
- Even Ji Hoo's grandfather likes her (FAMILY APPROVAL)
- Ji Hoo makes her smile and happy, even when she has nothing to be happy about
- He cuts her food so she won't have to strain her injured shoulder (AWWW)
- He looks hot in a suit
- They actually TALK
- He gives her comfort and stability in life.
- Ji Hoo might not be as tall as Jun Pyo but he has the right size, no strained necks from looking up or awkward bending down.
- He protects her.

And reason no. 11 ...
- He might not be as filthy rich as Jun Pyo but his house is awesome ... that has more GLASS walls than anything :) That is why Ji-hoo knows how to clean :D

No matter what happens ... these two will be my eternal OTP. I don't care for Jun Pyo. At first I didn't like him because he ws a mindless bully, who doesn't care if he rides a horse to death to reach his goal, and his single-mindedness in his love to Jandi never appealled to me. So what that you think you love her, if a girl kicks you in the face she doesn't love you. Jandi has always suffered due to Jun Pyo's selfishness. She faced more heart-ache than necessary for her love.

I can help but notice that in this version Jihoo seems to be more like the main lead than GYP. I agree that Jihoo seems to a better choice, but we all know who's gonna end up with Jandi. This is all because Korean Dramas are so much into angst. ^^

Yes on all the eleven reasons. Argh. I am such a rabid D/M shipper in every other version. But not this one.

Because I watched all of HYD prior to BOF/BBF, I always feel like I'm phasing in and out of their different universes.

You are probably right in that, the way the story is being presented, Jandi should end up with Ji-hoo. But I think that's a shame because I like my female lead characters to be the hero of their stories, not the damsel in distress.

Regarding your list:

#05 He cuts her food so she won't have to strain her injured shoulders.
#08 He gives her comfort and stability in life.
#10 He protects her.

While these things might be positives for the Jandi character, for me they would be negatives or at least neutrals. If I were in her position, these would be my responses to those three items:

#05 I'm not an infant goddammit!
#08 I'd rather have faith and support.
#10 I'm thankful for your help, but I don't need a hero.

I get the Ji-hoo/Jandi relationship. I really do. Ji-hoo, because of his parents' accident, has a hero complex. He loves Jandi because he can save her and gets to do so time and time again. But that kind of story I can get from any cheap romance novel and... blah.

Of course, I'm behind on a couple of episodes due to language issues so if they've given Jandi more of a spine lately, I'll be happy to change my mind about her.
