Doramas I've been watching ...
Mar. 3rd, 2009 11:47 pmAfter my utter obsession on JDramas these past 1 1/2 years, this season I found myself watching more K and TW Dramas than anything else.
Currently watching:
(KOR) When It Is At Night - YAY, another dorama with Kim Seon-ah!!! I just hate it that BonSubs are so damn slow in getting the subs out. I mean this dorama is from summer 2008, for crissake. And now I'm stuck at the beginning of eps where it really gets interesting.
(KOR) Boys Over Flowers - Love it with an obsession that I lacked for the TW and J version. And the definite eye-candy helps very much :)
(KOR) Return of Iljimae - What the Lee Jun-ki version was lacking I get from this one. NICE!!
(TW) ToGetHer - awwww, pure fluff atm. Though knowing TW dramas there might turn up some evil ex-gf etc really soon, but Jiro and Rainie (gasp) are delightful to watch.
(JAP) Zeni Geba - still have high hopes for a darkish tale along the lines of Sora kara but haven't finished ep3 yet.
Finished:
(JAP)Celeb to binbo Taro - a new take on rich girl/poor boy, but somehow the main heroine was very annoying and Star no Koi picked up the problems and consequences much, much better IMHO. Besides, this jdrama had plot holes as huge as the Rocky Mountains :s
(TW) Love or Bread - I had high hopes for this one but damned if Joe Cheng's over the top acting and grimacing didn't go on my nerves. But good to see Ariel in a more serious role again where she doesn't play the dumb girl (Joe was definitely the dumb one in this one). What I noticed though is that both Joe and Ariel are totally comfortable with each other. So much so that on one hand it is cute and wonderful to see those two getting physical (hitting each other, getting into each other's comfort zones) but IMHO there was no UST.
(JAP) Mei-chan - gave totally up on it. I think it was too ... out there for me.
Started downloading but haven't watched yet:

Date: 2009-03-03 11:57 pm (UTC)K hyd is nice too, but I'm awfully behind atm.
I'm waiting for Zeni Geba to be completedly subbed, I don't have time anyway currently. It was the drama I was looking forward to the most this season.
Mei-chan... has absolutely no plot, but since I know half the random minor role people in it, at least half, and there's plenty eyecandy, I will probably finish it, one day. This always happens to me when those dramas with excessive amounts of young unknown actors come around unfailingly at least once a year in Japan. I kind of hate it, but that's how it ends up *sigh*
Voice was disappointing for me, I will probably finish it, and I like that Toma, Eita, Satomi-chan and Satou Tomohito/Yuuki are getting more exposure thanks to this, but I dunno... it's preach-y and a bit boring. Maybe you will like it better.
I just finished watching Detroit Metal City. Absolutely hilarious movie, recommended, if you like japanese crazy that is.

Date: 2009-03-04 01:38 am (UTC)BOF's script is irritating me lately, alas - logic, I want it!
I want to watch WIAN but the subs are so slow, I'll wait until it's completely done.

Date: 2009-03-04 10:55 am (UTC)As for series, I'm still watching only Japanese dorama. I tried Korean and TW series not once but every time gave up on them. They feel to soupy for me and I don't like the style of acting.
