TGIF!!!

It's almost a quarter to nine PM over here and I' finally home. What a dy. I literally hiked to Neuss as there were some roadblocks due to construction sites and I had to walk some klicks through an unknown town till I reached my destination. Suffice to say that I was royally peeved when I met with my clients and when I arrived at the Studienkreis. Thank God it's Friday night now!!!!!!!
TOmorrow I'll have another client's meeting and then I can have a nice weekend.

Good news on the kitchen front ... My stepfather agreed on helping putting up my shelves and cupboards AT LAST!! I would have done it but with my weight I'd rather crash through the working counters than actually get any holes for the hanging cupboards drilled. Sooooooo, stepdad will help in two to four weeks time when Olly has the long hours and won't be around to bitch. I will at last have enough space then and then I'll go stove/oven hunting. I don't care as long as it has a fully functioning stove and three to for heating plates. I don't need fancy and I'm still peeved that I gave my old one away when we moved into this flat here five years ago. Since then I have been cooking on two heating plates with no microwave or oven. And I desperately need an oven ... I want to bake again, esp. now in the winter. Besides for my Thanksgiving Dinner I need an oven for the turkey and the roasted potatoes. :) Perhaps I can even get a cooking field and stove out of my parents ... after the shit they have pulled with drawing me into their petty fights lately, they could really pay up a bit :) Mercenary thy name is Una *lol*

Mmmmm winter baking! I love it when Mom does that. Stinks the place up for weeks (in a good way). Some day I'm gonna have to learn how to bake. :)

Oh Viv it was ... Neuss is an awful city, long stretches of industrial areas then again some very small streets with small shops. The town is really several hamlets brought together and connected through industrial areas, there is no *real* city center :-(
I'm just glad the day is over and when I have to go back there I'll take the car, let Olly take the hike to school.

I love baking even though I'm not as good at it as with actual cooking. But I want to do a big thanksgiving dinner for all our friends so I need the oven *lol* Good thing we have a British/US shop just further down the road where I can get the genuine article for that :)
