Usually nothing really can surprise me ... esp. not Japanese manga and doramas. Let's face it, wer know that our Japanese friends have some pretty warped up imagination sometimes.
Gangsters turned flower shop owners and bike mechanics, school girls selling off their bodies to get money for concert tickets, girls posing as boys in an all boys school, siblings, twins even, falling for each other, poor boy/rich girl, rich boy/spunky poor girl. Nothing really could send me reeling ... but this dorama is IMHO so far out there ... it even has me surprised ... in that weird, tempting ... dunno wtf is going on kind of way.

Anyone watching Mei-chan no Shitsuji? I know alexandral does. But anyone else out there who has the same kind of what the hell is going on and what is the point in this whole thing? feeling about the dorama than I have?

do not attempt to make sense of mei-chan, for it has no plot

really, what I think... the whole thing is the writer's fantasy made real
I switch my brain off before watching and just enjoy the eyecandy, I don't think more could be had from this drama ^^;;

Hee! I kind of ventured into the "Mei-chan no Shitsuji" manga too - and it is even odder, the girl is 13-years old and the butler is the same age- 20+ (YIKES!!!!) . At lest in the drama she is high-school age (17-18). I am still enjoying the drama, though - really strange (if you think about it) but it works for me for some reason, in a nice cheer-you-up way.
