I actually squeed when I watched Leverage today .. OMG ... the makers of that little gem of television are actually soooo fanboys it isn't funny anymore ... they give us CANON SLASH!! I love you guys .. and I love Hardison for telling that chirpy clerk that he is with HIM ... and that hunky Eliot always tries to make him jealous flirting with women ... OH YES!>! LUV LUV LUV!!!! I can so totally see Hardison hooking up with Eliot if he ever finds himself imprisoned with him. He would make sooooo good a bitch for Eliot ....

Okay, get my mind out of the gutter again :) Actually I thought the case was a real weak one ... just like last week's I thought it lacked a certain touch of panache and quirkyness, but Nathan's and Sophie's relationship developments are leaving so much room for hurt and comfort. more hurt than comfort at the moment and if Nate doesn't get his act together he might even end up being a burned-out, manipulative, drunk geezer drinking himself to death. Sophie is so within an inch of the end of the rope of her patience.

And you know what when the Asian bad boys turned up I actually squeed: Oh they have Koreans .. not handsome ones but still :D bale kalcha!! WOHOO!!!

Ahem ... yeah well I'm on a high this morning so pardon my random squeeing ... I'm happy on this cold gloomy, slightly rainy day :)

Talking about Koreans ... I love, LOVE, LOVE Kkotboda Namja (Hanadan Korea). I love the fact that this cast is so perfect and that evil mom is just as evil as in her other two incarnations. Perhaps even more so as she also has those snake eyes. *shudder*

Can't wait for next week.

I love Leverage because there's quite a lot of language-not-English speaking in it. Like when Hardison speaks Spanish to the security folks or Sophie speaks Serbian to the kids, or Sophie and Eliot pretend to be Swiss/German/Austrian (I'm not entirely sure which) or the Korean gangsters who actually spoke Korean and all that. The portrayal of foreigners can be very stereotypical but it's not as bad as some American shows. (Of course, I roll my eyes when stuff like foreign bad guys speaking bad English to one another happens but that is very rare as most crooks are American anyway..)

And yes, the nod to the slashers was awesome.

Leverage is so much fun that it almost makes me forgive Hardison for killing Sam on Supernatural. Almost.

Never got into Supernatural ... I guess I'm getting too old to believe in vampires and ghosts :) So Hardison is all shiny and new :)

Ah, but it's all impending apocalypse now so the show's universe has expanded quite nicely.

AH well ... the last time I watch a tv series with an apocalypse theme they turned it all around and denied it in the next season ... Poor Wongs :(

I know. Grrr.

But a good side effect is that I've been slowly corrupting someone... er... I mean introducing the Wongs' work to someone by comparing the two shows' view of the apocalypse.

I'm so addicted to Boys Over Flowers too, soon as the latest subs is up at vikki, I watch it and I don't care if it's wee hours in the morning, and I loovveeeee the evil mom!!!!! she looks so sophisticated, very elite, and yet mean. I love this actress, she's so goooood, even the way she walks, you know what character she's into. I'm glad you're enjoying the drama now. :)

Oh I like this version of Hanadan very much .. maybe because Jun Pyo (Domyouji) is a bit differently portrayed than in the other versions. :)

Lee Minho as is doin an awesome job Jun Pyo. I love the fact that he portrayed Domyouji as someone who has more class, elegance and yet managed to convey he's a bully. His other counterparts are either always shouting or a very violent Domjouji, but Jun Pyo, he is different. He seems to be more convincing as Domyouji, he's seems like a person who you'll meet in real life, his couterparts are like characters in a comic book. Not that I don't like them, it's just, Jun Pyo is really different. He's a breath of fresh air among the other versions.
