Here is to old and new friends ...
Jan. 7th, 2009 06:51 pmWell, here is a hello and I haven't forgotten you to my new and old friends of my flist.
A resounding OKAERI to
little_witch27 and an omedettou on your permanent job.
And a resounding HELLO and I MISSED YOU to
futurefacingcat and
kawinslow.
So what have I been up to besides truging through snow and watching my dogs doing foolish things?
Trying to keep warm. We had minus 27°C last night. It was INSANE but luckily we didn't freeze inside, but walking the dogs is an adventure. It takes longer to get into the whole get up of two trousers, numerous sweaters and a warm coat, than to actually walk the dogs. Chandini is fed up with the cold, only Cenour thrives in it. His arthritic leg doesn't give him as much trouble as it usually does.
Tomorrow Chandini gets castrated. I usually don't support surgery on animals or humans if they are perfectly healthy, but she needs to be castrated. Although she is house broken, she marks her territory when a more dominant dog comes along. Besides, if she had been older, she would have been castrated in Spain already. Still, I'm a bit worried.
Got rid of our Christmas tree last night as the city council were supposed to collect the bare trees today (which they didn't but that is not surprising considering the weather conditions). The bare trees will then go to the zoo for the elephants.
And last but not least ... pics ... snow pics :)

Would anyone believe this dog (Mikos) is Leishmaniosis positive?

Winter Wonderland - looks a bit like Canada, ne?

Date: 2009-01-08 04:53 pm (UTC)The dogs are crazy about the snow. I was certain that Cenour loves it because he likes water in all its forms, but that he would take to the now like this is amazing, esp. as he has the lame foot. He is much more sure footed in the snow than on plain ground.
And Chandini loves it too, though she gets grumpy after a while when the snow melts in her fur ... she behaves as if she is bathing in acid :)
