Of tests and other stupid exams ...

Hontoni, exams sucks. I flunked my Maths tests in school and never got over it really. If I have to pass something that has to do with numbers I fail so bad.
Anyway today I have to take the Sachkundenachweis 20/40. This exam is to test your ability to keep dogs that are either weigh over 20 kilos or are over 40 centimeters from paw to shoulder.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

It is a requirement here in North Rhine Westfalia. There are two Sachkundenachweise, one for keeping dogs listed on the *dangerous dogs* list and the second *small* one is called 20/40 for big dogs. All owners with dogs either over 20 kilos or 40 centimeter withers height are required to take this test.
Of course this test is totally idiotic. Anyone can memorize the correct answers but it doesn't show if you really understand dogs or are a good enough keeper of dogs.

do you have to know math to keep a dog??? eeek! umm...I think it's good they test people who have bigger dogs, though. in the US there are too many bad dog owners creating bad, dangerous, out-of-control dogs!

Well the correct answers are easy to memorize, but there are some questions where you require maths ... like a dog of this height and weight needs to have a kennel, how big has this kennel to be to be within animal protection law and regulations.

Any owner with a dog over 20 kilos (even if it is overweight) and/or 40 centimeters of withers height has to do this kind of test here in my state.

No I haven't taken it before and I passed. It was multiple choice and I got all questions right :)
