I so want to see this!!! I just watched a trailer for I Come With The Rain and WOW!! I wanna, wanna, wanna!!!
Did they dub Kimura? His voice sounds so high but then remembering how he conversed with the Liverpudlian in the Cannes Special his voice is always higher when he speaks English. Oh well, we will see. And apparently he gets SHOT!!

this is one of those trailers I have mixed feelings about. it's so long, it gives a lot away while at the same time makes it confusing! WTF is it really about, eh? But good cast, I hope they use more of Lee Byung Hyun than you see in the trailer, that would be a waste! Nice seeing Shawn Yue, though, and my favorite city!

Yeah the trailer is really long, it is almost like a mini-movie all by itself. But at the same time it looks like a movie His Hubbiness™ would watch so I hope it will be good (His Hubbiness&'153; always seems to pick good movies - it's uncanny and weird)

Yeah I think the flashbacks to the serial killer will be a bit gory. I love thrillers when they are done well, so I have high hopes for this movie.

I'm not that squeamish though I get nightmares when a movie is particularly gory or supernatural (I'm a lapsed Catholic, we ALWAYS get guilt trips :))

I get nightmares, too, and sometimes they haunt me for days and weeks, which is why it's not worth it for me to see gory movies! sometimes I can rent them, if there aren't TOO many scenes that I have to FF through!

There's a TV show called "Dexter" you might find interesting, about a sociopath who was raised by a cop, taught to channel his interest in torturing people into hunting down and punishing other sociopaths. I think the premise is very interesting, but it was far too gory for me!

Oh, it looks VERY good somehow. I know a lot of people whose voices are suddenly higher once they speak English. I'm one of them, it's annoying, but it somehow can't be helped... *ponders*

Strangely enough my voice gets deeper when I speak English. Usually I have a baby voice (so much so that ppl ask to speak to my dead if they don't know me and come across me on the phone) but when I speak English for a lengthy amount of time, my voice pitches down.

Not my cup of tea, definitely, I don't like such bloody movies with maniacs and gangsters at all... But I'll watch it for Kimura-kun. Well, am I his fan or not? ;) So let him be there for more than 5 min!!!

P.S. I think it was Kimura's voice, just sounded a bit higher- . But remember, in Howl he - even in Japanese! - sounds a lot higher than his regular tone.

I can't ALWAYS watch it but if it is done in a very psychological and logical way then yes I'm all for it. Same with Silence of the Lambs which I thought fantastic, but Hannibal Lector or Red Dragon? No thanks.

I saw "Silence of the Lambs" but it was very hard experience for me. No any pleasure at all.

But at least now I know why you like "Sora Kara" so much, while for me this dorama at the very bottom of Kimura series list. :) It seems I'm simply allergic for this genre.

Yeah I like psychological thrillers ... I always want to know how evil EVIL really is, what a person has gone through while becoming a sociopath.

Oh, I see.
It seems that in this point is the taste difference. Evil never made me curious about it in any ways or forms. So the chracter is interesting for me only if there is hope for him/her to come back from evil. But if he/her crossed the line of "no return" I loose my interest to him.

he-he...we spoke about it before that even in our (romantic) life you always liked dangerous guys and I preferred nice, kindhearted guys. ;)

In films this is the same. My fav Kimura's character still is Shinkai. ;)

But somehow I also have some strange fascination with his Kazuma in "Jinsei wo Joujo Da". May be because I'm always in love with characters who finally managed to get up even if before it they fall deep down...

BTW, it was said in one of the articles that Shitao after his suffering became come kind of a "healer", who is able to cure soul wounds. So I suppose, it will be Takuya-kun who will help Hartnett's cop to cure his mental problems, ne?
