Tip of the hat ...

With two of my favourite fanfic writers writing or talking about witing something again, I started to wonder where my exigence to write has gone. I haven't written seriously in the longest time. I started a few bits and pieces, mostly original fiction, but I never finished it nor did I get far more than a couple of chapters done, if at all.
I guess between my last serious writing block and now I have come to the realization that my writing skills are not the best. Mediocre at best if not even worse.

Anyway, here is a virtual tip of the hat ... THANK YOU, little_witch27 & spacellama !!!!

Oh, Süße, don't give up! I've had those very same feelings for a long time, especially while I didn't have a computer here in Freiburg, or every time I read something so completely wonderful that I think I am never, ever going to write as well as that. By now I've learned that the best writing comes out of the blue (and sometimes it takes its bloody time coming) and that you can't force it. I've given up trying to write by all costs if the muse is not there with me and it doesn't feel right. And I've written and I still write so many bad things, just for the sake of writing. I've always been a fan of your writing - oh, just to think of 'Right Underneath Your Skin'! And right now, I'd really, really love to see how your Kimura fanfic goes on! Don't give it up, please! Right Underneath Your Skin is the worst exmple you could give as it isn't even finished (and won't be finished). I started to write it and hit the hiatus by chapter 10, it just went on too long and the whole mystery/accident/murder stuff just went out of hand.
I don't know what to do with the Kimura fic, for once I think I have written a complete Mary Sue - All my fic for OB never felt like Mary Sues as I didn't fancy him. He was like a character ... Kimura on the other hand ....

Oh well, if something is coming I will write but as the years go by, I think the times when the muse kisses me are always more far and between than the year before.
