According to the plot synopsis on wikipedia CHANGE really sounds interesting. I wasn't sure at first of the elementary school teacher turns politician plot but now with more substance to the plot it is even plausible considering how politics work in Japan.

I'm so looking forward to this dorama ... I can so imagine Kimura as the dreamy, reluctant, rebellious school teacher Asakura Keita who gets ripped apart ethically and mentally by the world of politics and due to family obligations can't get out of the whole situation. The ANGST!!! I just hope he won't end up dead at the end of the series.

i had trouble starting karei back then. like you, i had doubts. it didn't seem like a drama i'd like but then kimura does have his way of convincing me otherwise :P

Strangely it wasn't Kimura only who convinced me but the whole cast and story telling :)

for me it was. i tried watching it before and i stopped immediately. the next attempt, i got to the part where kimura started speaking, that was it, it got me hooked.

I think I got hook line and sinker the moment we saw him interacting with his father Daisuke for the first time. I wanted to know why their relationship had come to this.
