Chica died on 25th and on the 26th the following pic was put on a dog rescue page:

She is from Spain, 3 years old and has an uncanny resemblance to Chica ...

Wow, that's uncanny.

Have thought a lot about Chica over the last couple of days. Will miss her; even through pictures, she was vibrant and adorable, the kind of pup you just wanna scoop up and snuggle.

How's Cenour?

That she was! And I miss so terribly but I know that I wouldn't have born to see her in pain if she had run the whole gamut of the illness. So the way it is now, it is okay. She passed away knowing that we loved her so much.

Today was the first day since tuesday where Cenour has been normal again. He was very unsettled and he went here and there and didn't know what to make of the fact that Chica, his nemesis wasn't there anymore.

Yes, Olyl and I both. Cenour was scared and didn't want to be touched and tried to escape the first few weeks when he was with us. By the by he realized that a) it is safe to be here and b) that we do not hit him. Once he realized that, he opened up.

So yeah .. why not ... and Olly just phoned. Tomorrow 10 AM we will pick her up from the transport which is as I type this on its way from Spain to Germany.

I think with your love for dogs, handling a scared one will be possible. You've always taken good care of Chica, and I beleive that true decotion is th key, as cheesy as it sounds...
