Saturday outing

On Saturday we went to the monthly dog walk with other members of the Southern Dog Forum (mainly dogs from Spain and Italy) and Chica and Cenour had a blast. They enjoy running around with other dogs in a huge pack even though they don't play as most others because they are one of the oldest there.

Looked like fun! You have lovely thick hair, Una! Since I wore the headscarf my hair falls out easier whilst it used to be thick.

I know what you mean. Since May last year I have stopped to wear headscarves and buns (the bun had covered the patches that had fallen out as well) and wearing it either as a braid down my back, a ponytail or open and since November last year I seem to have gotten a) more hair and b) my natural curls are returning. If my natural hair-colour would now return as well (see icon) then I would be happy.
And no, it is not thick yet. My hair is really fine and it only looks thick because so many curls are stuck together.

The pìctures are awesome! Mara, Camila and I enjoyed them very much. Mara says Chica doesn´t look sick, so there must be a mistake and you shouldnt worry about the "peludita"

Yeah, she doesn't look sick but one of the disadvantages (or advantages when you look at it) of lymphoid sarcoma cancer is that for a long time the patients still look okay. There is no pain and also no outward appearance of sickness, until one of the inner organs decides not to work anymore. Then it goes downward within 24 hours.
We are sitting on the proverbial keg of gunpowder and the fuse gets shorter and shorter.
But as long as the lymph nodes don't get bigger, she might be okay and her being old also is a plus as in old age the cancer won't grow as fast as with younger dogs. 2 out of 4 dogs that were diagnosed with LS cancer had to be put down already since October and they were all considerably younger than Chica. Only one other dog whose chemo fell through as he reacted very badly to it is still alive but it is only a matter of time with him as well.

I know Schatz, and I feel with you. Mara just refuses to accept Chica being this gravely sick. She sees Chica-look-alikes everywhere.
