After Tokio Hotel Germany now seems to have a full blown visual kei group!! Yep, you read right. Cinema Bizarre looks not only like a visual kei band like Dir en grey, Malice Mizer, Moi dix Mois und D'espairsRay. Nope, they also call themselves by manga names. Yu, Shin, Kiro etc.

The only visual kei group we had was Lacrimosa which was typically gothic in nature both in clothes and songs, but Cinema Bizarre seems to do pop.

*sigh*

Why not get the real thing over here instead of copying it badly???

God, I saw some magazine articles on Tokio Hotel. Yikes! Leave it to the Asians, christ... And I can't believe how the jrock fans of Finland (and also Germany, I assume) have taken to this crappy phenomenon.

I feel with you D:
And I already don't like Visual Kei much in the first place, but this is seriously scary. I'm just glad that German popculture completely passes me by X_x

Me too ... but my little niece was here on a visit and she (9) was all over the moon with TH and CB. At least if she likes the Gothic look, she could start with liking stuff like Deine Lakaien etc.

Hm, I never thought of Lacrimosa as VK!
You should come and watch girugamesh live with me. We don't need German VK bands anymore, becasue the VK bands now go through the trouble of coming here *shrugs*

Well since Nurmi joined the band they aren't VK anymore .. but before 1994? With all those *pretty, skinny, wild-haired, Gruft Lordchen*? They were vk and Thilo looked like a girl.
Sometimes I think the Japanese VKs looked at the European Goth scene and thought, hey they look cool, let's glam it up a bit.

Actually, you're right about that. The first VK bands have mainly been influenced by Kiss, The Sweet and Alice Cooper.
