Here is the first post of answers to the photo meme:

[livejournal.com profile] shenai asked for the view out of my kitchen window

[livejournal.com profile] allbloomedout asked for a pic of my desk and even though i had already taken one in August here is one of this morning, still a mess (or even messier)

[livejournal.com profile] ginger001 asked for a pic of my SMAP/Takuya collection - not much I'm afraid and I cut off my KT DVD collection :(

[livejournal.com profile] kaorumorite asked for a photo of my shoes while wearing them :) My Doc Marten Mary Janes, I love them to pieces, but soon I'll get my normal steel capped Doc Martens out of the cupboard again :)

That's it for now ... keep requesting! :)

I love the view out of your window! We are not getting so many yellow trees yet as this autumn is really warm (to compensate for the summer we had).

And your desk! Antiques!!

You would love my parents' home which is full of antiques. I only have two tables, a couple of chairs, an old wardrobe (which I love to pieces as it is easily to dissemble and assemble - no screws) and an 1830 tall desk.

I like your shoes. :) They look so comfortable!
Also it so good that you can see trees from your window. I have this pleasure too, and treasure it highly - in modern big cities this is a very rare pleasure.

Oh they are. Most shoes from Doc Martens are. They were first designed to be work and health shoes and then became really popular with the punk scene. I have been wearing DMs since I'm 14 years old. Unfortunately they discontinued the Mary Jane line :(

So the shoes even have their story. :) Punk shoes... wow :D

Yep, unfortunately the worker's variant with steel cap is also a favourite with skins and right wing activists :(

The view outside your kitchen window is so pretty! Thanks for posting view of your desk again. :) I don't think it's that messy. I'm just about the same at the moment. Your SMAP/Kimura collect is so nice. :) My JE collection is still tiny for now..XD

Well my JE collection is also tiny. Most of the stuff is downloaded from the internet and I only replace stuff when I have the money.

OMG, I have those shoes! I'd forgotten about them and pulled them out of the bottom of the closet to start wearing them again just last week! HHA! I bought them in Ireland a million years ago. The elastic that holds the buckles on is falling to bits and I really need to find a way to get them repaired! HAH!

Your deck looks amazingly organized, unlike mine, and you have a lovely view from your kitchen! I bet all those trees look gorgeous in the fall!

I got them repaired last year with a shoe maker locally. They got new soles, new elastic bands :) I just love them. My Doc Martens are always living a long life even though I wear them almost every day.

Naw, they don't look so wonderful as they are horse chestnuts and they get brown quite quickly and loose leaves easily :( THis afternoon we had a thunderstorm and now you can see the branches peeking through the leaves, they look totally different now :(

I'd really completely forgotten I had those shoes! Glad I hung onto them. All I need is to get them fixed and they'll last me a long time.

WOW, fall/winter are really hitting you fast! Some of our trees here are just starting to change (of the ones that are NOT palm trees, anyway!) There are some nice Japanese Maples (at least, that's what they look like, I could be wrong) here and there. I hope you get at least SOME fall before the freeze sets in! Does it get really cold in Germany, or is it more mild?

Well before the global warming we even had regular snow in winter but for the last five to eight years we had very mild winters. So mild that you could get out of the door in a t-shirt on some days :(

Europe can feel the global warming quite well, we had very mild winters with lots of rain and lots of flooding, and very warm springs with lots of insects (esp. insects that are not at home here like poisonous spiders, malaria midgets and ticks with the not so usual Mediterrenean diseases). I hope we will get a cold winter this year, otherwise we will be invaded with insects again next spring and summer :(

ya, I can't believe the people who still won't believe in global warming, or that it's a serious issue! we've seen so many climate changes just in OUR lifetimes! Sigh ... we've had a huge increase in insects here this summer, from the fleas I've been fighting to the hordes of flies that seem to be everywhere. And spider, eeek! I'm looking forward to cooler weather, hope we all get it soon!

Yeah, I can't believe it isn't an even bigger issue. But ppl are so short sighted, especially those in charge :(
