Coffee Prince better than Latte!!

OMG! OMG!!
This drama has me incoherent with squeeing and gulping and yelling at the TV. It is THIS good. And the end of ep10!!!! YOSH!!! OH YES!!!

Dear script writers and director, you did a wonderful job. And Gong Yu ... ah ... he is so adorable and bitchy in his unrequited love to a guy. I just want to take YEH and GY and squish them. Of all the cross dressing/gender switching doramas this season, Coffee Prince is the best. Where Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu is fluffy like candy fluff and hilarious to boot, and the Japanese Hana kimi Iikemen Paradise is neutral and slightly antiseptic IMHO, Coffee Prince just knows where to push all my buttons, REALLY good looking guys, all in their twenties and playing their age, an adorable leading couple as well as an adorable second OTP (yeah, I start to like Yoon Yu), then a believable gal pretending to be a guy. Complications and implications and plot twists that are NOT foreseeable but enough confidence to know we will have enough kissing anyway ...
Let me all squish those folks who are responsible for such an enjoyable dorama!

Yay!! Ahh I love you icon! The beach scene was wonderful! I was crying pretty bad there. Oh Gong Yu is wonderful actor! I can't agree more, Coffee Prince really wins in the cross dressing drama section this season. <33 Monday really needs to come sooner so we can see episode 11! It looks like he will find out Go Chan is a girl..

I still don't know if i like Yoo Joo though I've always thought Han Seong is really sweet. :)

More people should be watching this instead of Hanakimi. :P I need to make myself a Coffee Prince icon now. :)

Oh absolutely. As I said, I find the Japanese version to clean too antiseptic. It is as if the producers and director were afraid to tackle such a thing, and Sano is far too surly.
And the Taiwanese version, though it will hold a special place in my dorama heart, is too fluffy and too over the top. It is just one long squee down a water slide (and I love water slides).

I should make more CP icons too but somehow my files don't play too well on Power DVD from which I do my screen caps.

I agree. I honestly thought I was going to love Hanakimi more than this first off. This drama was really a surprise. :) To think we only have 6 episodes left now. :( I'm glad I have you to squee with. No one on my f-list seems to be watching this.

Have you tried vlc or media player classic? I tend to make my caps on those. I've been skimming episodes to find nice scenes but most the time they aren't very close or if they are it's a night scene. I only ended up making icons of one i'm using now and this one: Was there a scene you were trying to get cap of? I'll try to do it for you.

I think it is 8 eps. On d-addicts, they have changed the number of eps in the subttile thread from 1-16 to 1-18.

But the more the merrier :)

I love that icon, it is cute :) I can capture with VLC etc as well, that is no problem, just that Power DVD is more convenient.

The subs for episode 8 has been released and looks like 9/10 may finish soon as well. :) With rewatching to keep us filled until it's Monday once again. :D

Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D Thanks for the spoilers. I cannot wait to watch more! Eun Hye is great here, IMO. I don't think the lead male is so hawt (I like his "cousin" better in the looks department, his smile is so sweet, LOL), but he's a good actor. And I agree, the secondary OTP are cute! I love the way they make out (so sexy!) and love the fact that the girl (Yoon Hoo?) is so different to Eun Chan, in that she looks so sophisticated and mature-- makes the "competition" even more fun, LOL.

OH she is supposed to be more mature as she is older than Eun chan and Han Kuyl. In a conversation with Han Seong, Yoon Yu asks if she was this exuberant in her twenties like Eun-chan is, so she is supposed to be in her early 30's like Han Seong.

Do! it is fun! Not as candy fluff fun as the Taiwanese Hana Kimi cross dressing extrvaganza or as cutey clean fun as Hana Kimi Japan. It is much more mature and a lot more believable.

I love "Cofee Prince"! I consumed episodes 2-7 yesterday and so much love.. Goong Yu is adorable to a boot and second OTP is so great too. (If I am completely honest I prefer Han Sung played by Lee Sun Gyun , his voice just makes my knees weak). And YEH! How adorable she is! And the second girl - i like her too, she is so gentle and conflicted. A really lovely drama!

They are half-way through with airing the show (ep 10) and they are up to ep8 in subbing, so you won't have to wait too long. But as two episodes are aired per week, this is a show you can even start watching now.
