You know you have grown old when ...
- the folks you are talking to on the net don't even remember there have been records once.

GASP! RECORDS, LONG PLAYERS ... unheard of ... I love the scratchy non-quality *lol*

On a different topic, Kaddish have to be said again as Palestine terrorists attacked and bombed a school bus in Bershebah. But it seems the wall/fence between Israel and Palestine territory is working.

I love those old turntable stereos where you could pile on a dozen LPs and just let the music go all night long. My parents had a whole bunch of slow 50s ballads and we all listened to them in our tiny little house. Those songs are all stuck in my head right next to a warm fuzzy feeling.

I love the little noises and sounds old records make ... it's comforting (even at that time it annoyed the hell out of me) and reminds me of things in the past. Records can't beat the crystal clear quality of CDs but they give a more homey feeling :)

Hey, I can even remember Singles or those middle size records, between Singles and Long players. You had to put the record player on 75 for those. So, I am old, too!!!

Ohh yes, the old Schellack records :)
I still have some .. they have a fairy tale on it about a magician and his wondrous dachshund Waschti who happens to be part crocodile.
Oh and lots of opera and small opera stuff, like Rudolf Schock and Marika Rökk on 75 inches.

You even remembered Schock and Rökk. Yak!!! My Granddad loved to hear him sing, him and Johannes Heesters. Those were the times. I am getting old.
