Frida Kahlo ... woman, lover, PAINTER

I totally forgot that yesterday, Frida Kahlo celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary.
I first heard about her when I was about 17 and saw one of her paintings as a copy in a Mexican shop here in D.
It was her famous broken column painting and I just fell in love. Ever since then I have been a fan of this unconventional, highly inspired and creative woman.

I ADORE Frida! Have you seen the movie starring Salma Hyack? Or the documentary "ribbon around a bomb"? I think that Frida was absolutely beautiful.

Yes, I saw the movie both in the theatre as well have it on DVD. I love the movie even though it is not always correct. But I love the vibrant colours and the performance of Salma Hayek.
