scottishlassToday I have not only patterned and cut out the fabric for my pelisse project, but I also drew up a pattern for a baby quilt. A friend of mine has had a little baby girl in February and ever since I wanted to make something special and today it actually came all together. The basic colour scheme will be dark blue and yellowish orange with shots of silver. I want to make sun, moon and stars with the words Good Night in various languages stitched on it. I think it will look beautiful, esp. as my friend loves blue and orange and doesn't like pastels which would be just right for a baby.
But first I have to buy a new sewing machine ... I totalled mine ... or it totalled itself after my sewing marathon. It was a cheap one but oh man, I'm pissed off. So now I'm looking for a sewing machine that can also do quilt stitching. Any recs from my sewing mad f-list?
