Sooo ... what happened recently? Yesterday I spent almost all day at airports. I flew from my hometown to Munich and back again.
The little dog from St. Petersburg is now in Garmisch Partenkirchen at the animal shelter. She came on Sunday and spent the night with us before being moved.
Juli(a) is a charming little dog lady ... she has very sad eyes still but I guess she thought she had landed in dog heaven as she cuddled up into the sofa instead of bare tarmac. In Russia she stayed in a 1x1m cage with other dogs and here she was free to run around, to snuffle freely and concquer her surroundings. When I handed her over to the ppl who picked her up in Munich she actually looked back again and again and didn't want to go with them, so I had to bring her to the car and put her into it.

So .. yeah it broke my heart

Jeesh .. how is it possible that a small dog can capture your heart in under 12 hours??? She was supposed to be a transit dog and yet she took a huge chunk of my heart with her. What a lovely, lovely dog. Anyone who takes her in will become a charming, smart little dog princess, I tell you.

I just can't understand why anyone would kick her out onto the street so that she would end up in an animal shelter. Juli is such a wonderful little dog lady. Photos of her in my meme entry here

His Hubbiness™ picked me up from the airport and my babies were happy to see me, esp. Chandini was jumping around me, yapping away and wanting to cuddle up. That is one of the reasons why I do work in this kind of field ... to see once abused dogs being happy and carefree.
