[hindi movie] Tere Naam
Jun. 25th, 2005 07:29 pmJust saw the movie Tere Naam with Salman Khan and Bhoomika Chawla.
It is the story of Radhe Mohan (Salman Khan), a young man, who hangs out at his college. He lives with his brother (Sachin Khedekar), a doting sister-in-law, and their daughter. Even though he is a thug and loves a good fight, he takes care of his community and deals with any bullies quickly that might threaten his friends and community members, thus he is respected by everyone. Radhe comes across Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla), daughter of a temple priest who is timid by nature and has just entered the city college.

WOW, Salman Khan can surely act. He impressed me as the insanity driven Radhe. Apart from the silly haircut in the first half of the movie as well as the gratuious chest shots, he really impressed me as a serious dramatic actor.
He fits well into the role of an obsessive lover. He gives out the impression of a vulnerable man beneath the tough exterior and his pain, his tears, his very soul was poured into the character of Radhe Mohan.
Well done, Salman!
Bhoomika Chawla as the very simple and tradionally raised Nirjara was also very good. She played the shy simpleton (and she is a simpleton with all her brownie salute and all) very well.
All in all, if you like star-crossed lovers' melodrama, this movie is definitely a must see. Well directed, well acted, and the music is also okay.
