A beautiful day ...
Apr. 14th, 2007 12:12 amEven though the day started out quite miserably - my right eye with the stye giving me a lot of grief, the ensuing day turned out to be quite good indeed.
His Hubbiness had the wonderful idea to put me and our dogs into the car and drive down to the Rhine as it was such a beautiful afternoon. We went to the very spot where we spent most of our summer days last year. It consists of three little bays with sandy beaches where you can let your dogs run free and you have a feeling of the Mediteranean.
Anyway, it was warm (in the mid 20's °C) and sunny and the dogs had a wonderful time running around in the sand and going swimming.
Oooommmmm ...

Germany's Next TopModel Dog

This stick has had it!

Eliminate!

Into the deep blue

HA! I got you, devilish Squeaky Toy

Baywatch-Dog

Ewww, sand in my ears

it was a wonderful afternoon, and I forgot about my eye and the pain as I watched the antics of our two dogs. Cenour really enjoyed himself and we suspect it was the first time he was at a beach. He first looked around as if he was gobsmacked, then he tentatively got into the water and got his stick back. He liked rolling around in the sand. Chica of course had to rescue her squeaky toy out of the water again and again.
A good afternoon all in all.

Date: 2007-04-14 05:46 am (UTC)Gosh I must say again that I love seeing pics of your lovely dogs. From your stories, I think Cenour has gained a new level of respect from me :D Though Chica is still adorable, of course *laughs*

Cenour is really opening up more and more and yesterday he played actively with a stick for the first time. Normally he just looks at it, pets it with his paw and then waits. But yesterday he ran after it, picked it up and then eliminated it. He has so much to learn and be a young, playful dog again.

Date: 2007-04-18 09:59 pm (UTC)Yeah my two dogs are also giving me lots of strength and also relieve a lot of stress. They just make me sit down and cuddle them, thus any annoyance or stress is gone after half an hour.
