Yes, you read right, m.i.t.m. is not an active archive anymore. I am currently working on removing all logins from the site, so that onyl the already archived stories are available. I have not the time nor does my illness allow me to continue this site. Furthermore, no one applied for taking over the site, so interest is low to non-existent as well.
So this makes my LJ, cb.de and the S:AAB Fanfic Flightdeck the only active sites I got out of 13 I think. Woah, this is a scary thought, but then again I'm not a student anymore nor can burn the midnight oil to manage huge updates. Besides, all my fandoms (to which I had sites) are not current anymore.
Thank you to all who have supported m.i.t.m. over the years - it was a joy ride most of the time and I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but it is time to move on.

Oh wow... damit geht heute ein ganz wichtiges Kapitel meines Lebens zu Ende. Am Tag, als ich zum ersten Mal etwas auf m.i.t.m. gestellt habe (am 04. Juni 2004), habe ich auch den Preis für "Dreamer" bekommen und P. kennengelernt. I cannot say that I'm not sad, but I completely understand your decision, and I know it can't have been easy for you. Thank you for making m.i.t.m. possible, my dearest, and for all your hard work. After all, it gave me you, and Doris, and AJ - great friends, and it was the best and most valuable basis for getting my writing out there. I love you! XXX

It has been a tough decision but I haven't got the time and especially not the energy anymore to continue the site.
Being an archivist has given me a lot but also robbed me off a lot, esp. what fun it is to simply read and enjoy fanfic. I still haven't started to read any new fic from this or any other fandom (apart from Genesis but this is a whole different pair of shoes as it is original and not a fandom thing).
At least we had it open for almost four years :)

Wow, talk about an end of an era. :) You did well to hold on for as long as you did because I know how you've felt about it (for a while now)!

Kudos to you on doing such a great job for such a long time. I know the fandom appreciated it (despite what certain morons were posting in the guestbook *rolls eyes*) and it will be missed.

Yeah well it is the end of an era, but as there was no one interested in taking over the site, I thought it best to turn it into an archive, an monument of awesome stories so to speak :)
Now you have to carry the torch ;-)

I wanted nothing more in the world to be able to offer to take it off your hands and run it in your stead, but I don't have that kind of time either, and I'm sad. I'm actually getting teary here. So much fun, so many friends, and you made it all possible.

Of course, despite what people in the guestbook said, we do love and appreciate everything you've done for the fandom. Hell, you made the Orli-Fic fandom possible.

I'm sorry to make you sad, Anne. I thought about it long and hard and after half a year with not one single mail requesting to take over the site, I decided it was time. The site is not gone, just that not any new stories will be uploaded. Of course, I can be persuaded to add new stories from authors I like (like yours, Elaine's, Elf's and so on) as it was supposed to be when I started out creating this page, but it won't be open for upload for a wider range. Probably mre something like Sezza does with her ob fanfic site.
