scottishlassA month now that I have started this diary again .. it is strange to do this again after filling pages upon pages in my folders all those years ago. But then again it is quite soothing.
I watched some interesting footage today on German newschannel, it was about the Northern Alliance and how they fare in Afghanistan. It really riles me up how the Taliban have destroyed so many intellectual resources, like literature, music and such. It makes me so angry, especially as I love books in all their variance. It reminds me of the book burnings of the Nazis over 70 years ago and if someone burns books, there is only a small step to burn, kill and maim human beings ... quod erat demonstrandum :s
