Making room on the DVD shelf ...

Today I started to put all my doramas on our DVD shelf and I discovered, I have a lot of Kimura-san's doramas, but not all :)

Those that are struck out are the ones I have and I have left out those who are not really good/not subbed, those in Italics I am currently downloading - so anyone knowing where to d/l or buy with subs or having any of those not struck out, please let me know :)
Heck, I even watch Gift without subs if I have to :)

Yeah I watched it last year and even wrote a review on it :)

They are making a movie (not TV) of HERO with Matsu and Takuya and it should be out by late 2007 :)

Woow, Una! My respect! Your list of Kimura-san's doramas and films are so long!

While my list, shame on me! - is so short!

I have Wong Kar-Wai's "2046", of course. It was released in my country (I like this director and love this film of his, one of the most beautiful films I ever saw).

If to speak about doramas, I have only Chushingura, Engine, + just yesterday finished to download Long Vacation (Yessss!!! I'm already in love with LV - good story & directing and absolutely splendid acting! Especially the main duo! Young Takuya....aaaaah! :swoon: He plays his role so well, his eyes are so expressive - and he is so beautiful... If I wasn't already crazy about him, I would fall in love with his Sena!)

Now I'm downloading Oda Nobunaga and also Asunaro Hakusho (1-3 series are at home already)... and after I will start to dl Love Generation. Next week hope to get Pride, Hero (TV series), Beautiful Life all together on disks...

I tried to dl Gift from d-addicts, but it goes in sooo slowly! At the moment I gave up and decided to wait with it.

Last time I checked with d-addicts, there was no GIFT .. thanks for the info .. it will probably take about a week or so for downloading but hell, I want it, want it, want it :D
You know when I started out back in October I never thought that I would become so addicted, good thing for jdramas this way I can download the dramas subbed.

Asunaro Hakusho is a pain in the neck to download. I still need to download 2 to 11. *sigh*

I watched the first 3 series of Asunaro Hakusho - I like the thing, even if there are very few of Kimura-san there. Anyway, good story and all the young actors do their job pretty well.

But OMG! Young Takuya there... OK, he plays his role quite well. But he is just an ugly duckling there!!! :D That gorgeous "white swan" we know haven't born yet. How old he was at that time? 20? 21? But he looks just a clumsy teenager there - skinny, gnarly, with a nose too big for his face! Even his lovely deep voice didn't exist at that time - he has rasp, crack and sharp voice like teens often have... Again - just an ugly duckling! :D There are only few quick glimpses sometimes of that prince he will become in the next two or tree years...

Yeah who would have thought that only two years later the ugly duckling would become a swan in Kimi wo wasurenai? He really matured in those two years. Heck even in 1994 he still looked like a school kid and then at the end of 1994 BAM! he is a man with his long hair and oh so sexy :)

I almost finished Asunaru... And yow know what? I have to admit that Kimura-san cheated me with his acting! There in the dorama the last 1/3 of the story happpens 4 years later, when all of the characters are about 24. And Takuya is just charming there! Still a bit too young (he definetely became better looking after 25) - but his sex appeal, deep, warm voice and charm are there already! So in the early series that "ugly duckling" thing with harsh teenager voice was mostly a very good acting from his side! Wow! My respect to him.
