Summer time ... and the living is frigid
Jul. 12th, 2004 12:39 pmSigh .. here we are in the height of summer and there is snow in the Zugspitze, hail and freezing rain in the South and rain and cold where I live.
We had thunderstorms, hurricanes and what not in the last couple of weeks and frankly it goes on my nerves.
I got drenched through this morning even though the eather forecasters told us it wouldn't rain ... yeah right, assholes!!
But the rain isn't so much the problem ... it's the cold ... it is cold like in November and that isn't cheering me up. Don't get me wrong, I love the cold, but THIS is too cold :s
I wish we had some nice mellow weather .. not too cold and not too hot .. just that we could go out in a tee shirt instead of our winter clothes. Now the forecasters predict there will be more summer weather in four to five days .. I believe it when I see it.

Date: 2004-07-12 04:44 am (UTC)Cornwall seems to be enjoyed with cold windy weather and rain (just like Scotland) ... I wouldn't mind the weather if I were in the Highlands. I'd snuggle up in front of my aunt's mantel in the living room or take the dogs walking in wellies and a Barbour.
Enjoy every minute, Alice.

Date: 2004-07-20 03:39 am (UTC)took until today to find my way back into an internet cafe - sorry.
Cornwall is wonderful in every weather - and luckily the sun came out a few times. I even got myself a nice little sunburn.
We love Scotland too, especially my husband, but as we always go to Cornwall in the summer - I sofar have only been to Edinburgh. A well, maybe next year.
Hope life is not to bad back home / anyway have a good time
Alice
