40209 words ... still only halfway through with editing the script and so many new additional ideas .. one which has been festering in my brain for a couple of days now is this .. what if Jin-Ho and Min-Young who play the folk tale heroes Yoon-Seo and Tae-Rim are actually their re-incarnations? Then the falling in love bits would come much more easily. On the other hand, it would take a away a lot of their own free will, being fated to be lovers and stuff. *sigh* 9791 words to go yet till Nov. 30th.
Oh and I want a sticker for my car ... Writing romance and proud of it :P *crazy cackle in the background*

Reincarnation idea is good and does not take away free will. However, if you have a plot where characters meet, like each other, fall in love and develop a relationship happily, why do you need to complicate it with reincarnation? Because in the past they could not fulfill their love and desires? Maybe reincarnation could be an afterthought, more of an hypothetical discussion that they seem to have the sense of meeting each other before or they are old souls or something like that... Or linked to the idea of fate reincarnation style. If it makes any sense.

Hmm .. yeah that could work .. something like a last scene from the sageuk or something something like a voice over in a drama. I will stew a bit more about this.

You could make them figure out they are the reincarnations, hence their souls were meant to meet eventually... then write a goregous metaphor on how even in thenext life they will find each other again, and again... and that's all you can put about that subject. Don't tie them down with particulars like that when the story is already soooo goooood!
And lb_klove is right, they are old souls or something like that.

Well I doubt the story is so good ... it has plot holes a mile wide in it LOL and somehow I can't seem to write out their emotions how they feel about each other .. that one defining moment for each of them where they realize they are in love. :s

I think I will nix the idea with the re-incarnation ... I guess this was only a way of turning a blind eye to the plot holes in my story ;s

Plot holes are not the problem right now! right now your goal is 50k words, plot holes will resolve themselves later!
Trust me they usually do.
As for writing emotions: what I do is that I get into the wave with the character and write more or less what I feel through the character's eyes. Depending on their personality the words usually flow... that's how I get a lot of the moods swings and stuff going through my stories... reason why I rather write fanfics... LOL

I wish I could ignore the plot holes while I'm writing. I deleted about 400 words just now because they didn't sound right which screwed up my word count immensely but I couldn't help it. I'm anal like that. I knew these words were sitting there all wrong and the more I tried to ignore them, the more my fingers began to itch to delete them LOL

8000 words ... I do not know if I can come up with so many until the end of November .. atm it is only trickling with ideas and new scenes and such. I need to get them together as they are at an impasse in the story. She has told him to never get enar her again (apart from work related reasons) because she is sick of the rumours and insinuations in the press. Then there is this crazy co-star who bullies MY becuse she wnts to have Jin-Ho ... I need to flesh her out a bit more ... Park Hye-Ri is an Uber-Bitch and so self-centered ... I need to make her even more hateful LOL

don'g give me that "i don't think I can write 8k words!" you already wrote 42K and are planning on stopping!? I will find you and poke you with feathers in the ears if I must to get you to writing and finishing NaNo! Make the main charactes have a fight over something silly, that ough to return those 400 deleted words and a bit more...

Yeah yeah, I know I'm whining :) It is just that writing seems to be so excrutiatingly (is that even a word) slow today. I was reviewing and editing, starting a glossary of terms and before I knew I didn't know how to make the transition between first buds of LOOOVE to a night of hot smut. The smut scene was one of the first things I wrote now I have to figure out how to get them there. And coming up with devious things for the Uber bitch to do to Min-Young *sigh* It *should* be enough to fill up 10k and more but somehow ideas elude me :s

BUT! I wrote a totally cute telephone conversation between Jin-ho-ssi and Mi-Kyung-ssi, his mom where she basically tells him she is not getting any younger, she wants grand children and any woman who laughs at his stupid jokes is a keeper :) But that was it for today :s

hmm...well, I don't think that if characters are reincarnated they're destined to be lovers, not strictly. It just means they have an affinity for each other, maybe have unfinished 'issues' from a past life or something. But being reincarnated doesn't mean they'll have the same relationship as in a past life. Just saying, I think you can use it without them losing free will.

Yeah you are right about the reincarnation thing. I would have used it in the vein of their love was so great and they could not live out this love in their own life time so they are reincarnated to meet again and live their love to the fullest.
