What? Me?
OMG!! OMG! OMG!!!

I so loved this episode. I watched it like ... three times already twice RAW and now with subs.
But I feel so bad for Gongmin and Nogook. They are so in love, so wonderfully functional and it was heart breaking to see Gongmin crumbling down, remembering how he proposed to his queen and all the little happy moments he had with her. But it was essential for him to go through this agony (not necessarily her losing the baby though). Gongmin now knows how much he put Choi Young through when he used Eun Soo as a pawn.
I love that he feels ashamed and cannot even face Choi Young when he returns to the palace. Their conversation and Young's I have yet to return, I came upon request (by Eun-Soo) was such an admission of love over duty and I think Gongmin now understands what makes his Woodalchi Daesang tick.
What it costs CY to return to the palace - not for king or country - but upon the request of the woman he loves despite knowing that she might meet death at the palace.
Awesome sword fight with wire work but anyone else noticed that the Yuan assassin and CY mirrored each move? It seemed as if they were dancing rather than fighting .. or two sides of the same medal. Hmmm ... food for thought that one.
There were so many small scenes of our Imja couple ... and I so loved the hand holding when they mourn the miscarriage of the Royal baby. It was so sweet, so loving and protective, to hold her hand, shielding her and her tears from the others and giving her a shoulder/back to lean and cry on. They work so wonderfully on so many awesome levels, it's crazy. Here is a couple that gets each other they are now so in tune that instinctively Choi knows what she needs and he has this great capacity of love to give to Eun-Soo be it in the capacity of being the protective shield, the annoyed husband or loved one.
Oh I so love Lady Choi!! When she dragged (!) Choi Young out of the Suribang house and was all 'you idiot what are you doing here?' and then when he and ES argued she was like a teacher reprimanding her charges ... Focus! The QUEEN first!! Get a room later (okay the first she said the latter she implied ... sort of ... in my mind LOL It was hilarious.
Is it just me or does this whole Yuan episode feel like a test for the young king? I don't know why but somehow I thought Sun Yoo felt a little bit of pride ... though I could be totally off the mark here.
And the Woodalchi puppies!!! I love them from the top of their silly top knots down to their pointy toed boots and all. They are such CY/ES shippers ... when they get caught for eavesdropping and Dol-Bae reprimanding Deok-Man for his tardiness in cleaning ... it was hilarious. And Deok-Man going all What? Me? until the penny drops and they all make a careful if hasty retreat. And oh the last scene (which I have re-watched like 10 times or more) oh so swoon worthy and cute and all things shippiness.
These two!! OMO!! THESE TWO!!! I love it that Choi actually backs her up like a predator his prey ... the intense stare, his interrogation ... So? Should I be here too? and ES says Yeah well that is your room and you are the Daesang ... (she refers to it as the Daesang's room) and he is all Yeah, I'm the Daesang ... and he backs her up to the window and Eun-Soo is all gorgeous and nervous and just a poodle of very adorable goo all clad in a Woodalchi uniform at Choi Young's feet. And he asks her Here? and he is definitely not inquiring about the room but that she would stay there with him and all that this implies and Eun-Soo replies Here ... and I won't run away which also has a double meaning because a) she won't go to the Heaven's Gate (yet?) and yes, she is willing to throw convention overboard and live with him. By this time I was grinning like a loon and squeeing!!!
I love my Imja couple!!!!
All in all a wonderful, heart-breaking and laugh out loud episode, fast paced and upping the ante even more for the finale.
And we found out more about our favourite Daesang ... that he was 16 when he started to fight as a warrior and has been at it for 14 years (making him 30 now) and that he doesn't like to drink alcohol.
Oh and I definitely have a girl crush on Kim Sun Hee now, that woman is just so amazing!! And if next week's Monday episode doesn't start with the two of them making out and some shedding of Woodalchi armour I will be very pissed off!!!!
