First impression just as this ep of FAITH ended?
SHIT, this will end up in tears! Or to describe my feeling with a famous Han Solo quote: "I have a bad feeling about this!"

But back to the beginning of this week's Monday ep ... we see Young packing Eun-Soo's stuff and while he is doing so he complains about why it is taking her so long to put some clothes on. HELLO!!! Welcome to marital life, Daesang!!! These two are so married, it's crazy.
I have to admit, Eun-Soo annoyed me a tad in this ep. She didn't take their flight so seriously, she behaved as if this was just fun outing from school and not a serious run for life scenario. Alright, I give she doesn't know that the envoy from Yuan wants her head, still ... she was too lively too 21st century woman-ish at the beginning. After all her time in Goryeo she should know how to behave as a woman, esp. as one on the run from King, soldiers and assassins.
However, I loved the bits of popular Korean culture she taught Choi Young, like the 'Yaksuke' (the pinky promise) and the high five. Also when she did the 'AJA!' thing, I first wondered why she didn't do the 'Fighting' stance until I remembered how much she hates for Young to kill his adversaries. And 'fighting' wouldn't be a shout out she didn't want Young to teach his Woodalchi boys.
What broke my heart was the small scene on the steps where she innocently asked him if he had ever a day where he could do anything he liked or wanted and it just tore me to pieces when he replied: "Yesterday .. and ... today." This man ... this boy ... never had any fun. His life consisted of staying alive to fight and I can understand that he is so smitten with Eun-Soo. She brought happiness and a somewhat precarious peace into his life. And he drinks it all up, you can see how his soul is not only healed it swells and he shines - literally. And he acknowledges that his fighting style has changed. He is still skilled and really, really deadly, but he uses his sword in a minimalist fashion now. His strokes and punches are very precise and when he fights, he kills mercilessly and quickly. He is a fallen and fatal Angel of Death to those who chose to take arms against him.
And yet there is a carefree almost boyish air about him (okay, so LMH IS only 26, yet in his other dramas he looks much more mature) but with Eun-Soo he a young man in love and skinship comes so easy for him now. Whereas in the beginning of the series he was this closed off, cold warrior who didn't like to be touched, now he actually covets it. He initiates touches and easily hugs and touches Eun-Soo, even needs it.
The ending of the ep is another clue ... so Eun-Soo (from the future????) traveled back in time to leave a clue for Goryeo Eun-Soo in a plastic film container of all things. I mean hello ... we are in the digital age, who would want to use analog film tins??? Thinking about it I have to admit I also have one of these in my bag ... I keep carrying safety pins in it ... so okay, maybe Eun-Soo does the same.
And who exactly is the Yuan enjoy, Sun Yoo? He himself admits he is a son of Goryeo ... but what exactly is his agenda? And now the Queen is kidnapped ... who wrote that letter and sealed it with the envoy's seal? Deok Hyeung?
Ki Chul is loosing more and more of his KI and in turn he gets more and more off the rocker ... dude, the Heavens will eat you alive if you go there.
All in all a solid ep, that felt as if it was only half an hour long because so much was happening and unravelling and yet there are still so many questions. But the feeling of doom remains. I cannot see these two having a future together ... I hope I'm wrong, I desperately hope I'm wrong :(
