Two wonderful news

scottishlassFirst off, it is now official ... Sammy and Lir both have found a forever home ... Sam-Sam stays with us and Lir will become a Dutch dog LOL His new family will pick him up next Tuesday. On one hand I'm totally happy and delighted that he has found his forever home now, on the other hand I am so totally sad that he will be leaving. He is such a wonderful dog and I will miss my baby-bear.
The second news is that Sammy has taken a huge step forward in becoming a normal dog. Yesterday - for the first time - when I came home she came up to me and instead of shying away she sniffed me. I mean she SNIFFED AT ME - her nose was right on my jeans and I could FEEL her. That was the first time she actively touched one of us. You cannot realize how important and wonderful this is ... Sammy is such a shy dog and usually she keeps her distance and only shows her delight upon seeing any of us with a wagging of her tail. That she now runs to us like any of our other dogs and actually touches us, this is so important and wonderful and all things sparkly :)
