Turn of the wheel ...
Apr. 15th, 2007 01:08 pmOn Friday night, as well as on Saturday night, Chica didn't feel too well. She started vomitting and her stomach was really hard. In Saturday morning I went straight to the vet and he said it was an upset stomach and nothing to worry about. She apparently felt better and was her ususal self so we went to the Rhine on Saturday again (it was 30° Celsius over here - totally ridiculious!!). Late last night she vomitted three times again and she didn't feel too well. We phoned the vet and he told us not to worry. But I did and spent the whole night on vigil for Chica who started to sleep peacefully from about 4 AM onwards. No more vomitting, no hard stomach, she just snored a little bit.
Ever since she woke up she is a little terror. She wants to eat however she only gets unsalted/unsweetened porridge which she likes but doesn't taste as nice as her usual fare of Rinti Turkey and such. Our vet phoned just now and said that she will probably be her usual self by tomorrow. I hope so too.
Man, I'm a wreck. My eyes are puffy, my stye which had almost gone yesterday is acting up again and I am totally tired. But what do you do when your pet gets sick? You worry and stay up all night. Hopefully the porridge will stay inside and she will have a normal digestion. It breaks my heart when she mops around and is in pain.
